How do we capture a town and a people shaped by the sea? A place of shipwrecks and stories, myths and makers. Poole Museum wanted a brand that could bring all of that to life, reflecting its ever-changing character, vibrant community and the sea’s enduring pull.

The Challenge

Bringing Poole Museum to life in a modern and impactful way, creating a brand experience that felt unique and unmistakably “Poole.”

The identity needed to reflect a town and community shaped by the sea: dynamic, layered, and full of character. But Poole isn’t just about heritage, it’s a place where creativity meets industry, where the expected gives way to the unexpected.

Our challenge was to capture that fusion of influences. The maritime, the cultural, and the contemporary, translating it into a visual and verbal language that could anchor the museum’s next chapter.

The Solution

We built a brand that reflects the town’s rich mix of people, industry and influence. It’s full of character and a touch of the unexpected.

Our colours take their cues from Poole, industry, and the coastline, with names drawn from the water and the working harbour town. Weathered circle motifs echo the marks left by time and tide. The typography system utilises an array of weights and varied type widths in stacked layouts mirroring the craftsmanship and blend of cultures that define the place.

Together, all these elements create a brand that feels fresh, layered and full of life, designed to spark that instant Ooooo moment of curiosity and connection that Poole inspires.

Turner Sims is a respected and well established music venue with acoustics that are second to none in the region. They had ambitious goals to reach broader and more diverse audiences, and to create
a diverse and inclusive community through the power of live music.

The Challenge

Turner Sims believe that the joy of music is for everyone, and were keen to broaden their offering by introducing new younger audiences to their music programmes, while also introducing youthful and diverse genres to the venue. However, their existing identity felt corporate, outdated, and lacking in emotion. In short, it was visually at odds with who they were, and was not resonating with their new audiences. We were tasked with helping to define their true 
essence, and to bring the joy and diversity of their live music to life through a vibrant and engaging visual identity.

The Solution

We developed a brand that celebrated the eclectic nature of both the audience attending Turner Sims and the diverse range of music echoed within. This included the creation of a unique, responsive logotype and a suite of repeating patterns inspired by the shapes of musical instruments. The logo uses a vibrato line representing the ever-changing pitches in music, and symbolises the diverse sounds that fill the venue. We also crafted a vibrant and joyful colour palette, alongside a compelling value proposition that truly reflected their identity – ALL for the joy of music.

As a marketing communications agency specialising in support for industrial manufacturing companies, Coda needed an identity that would creatively resonate with its clients’ subject matter while celebrating the beauty of precision.

The Challenge

Coda needed an identity that positioned it as the creative specialist in an industry driven by precision and excellence. Their existing branding had become somewhat disjointed and lacked a cohesive voice. The challenge was to craft a new identity that balanced accuracy with their passion for the sector, while enabling the creation of consistently voiced assets.

The Solution

We created a brand language based on a unique combination of line weights, called the Coda Code, which could be duplicated, stacked, and manipulated to generate endless patterns and backgrounds. These ‘remixes’ could exist independently or within imagery, interacting with both subjects and scenes.

This approach gave Coda a distinctive visual language – perfect for a sector focussed on repetition and accuracy.

A brand telling stories that move people



The National Motor Museum holds a unique world-class collection of vehicles. They wanted a brand that would help them share the stories of motoring and the spirit of their vehicles, past and future, in a way that entertains and inspires people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of interest in motoring.

The Challenge

The brand needed to visualise the invisible spirit of the museum, and the sense of motion both in the vehicles and in the evolution of motoring itself. It’s impressive collection is vast and continually evolving – no single vehicle could adequately represent it, or embody the many stories of progress and innovation. We also needed to be mindful that as a museum, and that in many uses the brand is not the hero – the exhibits are. The challenge was to find a way to visually symbolise the story of motoring evolution that was both sophisticated and emotive, bold when it needs to be and recessive when it doesn’t.

The Solution

We developed a brand that celebrates the stories that move people by visualising the concept of motion, and the journey of motoring. Inspired by vintage motoring posters, we developed a suite of roads and speed lines – swooping, dipping and cornering around copy and images to bring energy and momentum when needed. The simple but dynamic logo is positioned over three distinct lines of traffic that are constantly changing position and in motion whenever possible.

Seeing the environment differently



ESAS (Environmental Science at Southampton University) are a University department full of sector leading expertise and specialist equipment, and were looking to make a commercial offering to the industry. Their unique setup gave them a fantastic springboard, but they needed a brand and website to effectively communicate their offer to industry.

The Challenge

To create a standout brand and website for an organisation who are driven by a search for knowledge, not funds. Their commercial interests are secondary to their intelectual interests. This gave ESAS a unique identity as thought leaders who can afford to ask the questions others don’t.

The Solution

The ESAS logo features a fingerprint brandmark that integrates both natural and tech elements. Elements such as a leaf and tree rings weave together alongside the technological features such as sonar. There’s also a nod to ESAS’ pioneering nature with the leaf veins positioned to signify forward movement. The full name is featured in the primary logo to ensure people know and understand who ESAS are.

Cauuuse.com enables people to give a greetings card alongside the gift of real change, in the form of a charity donation to a worthy cause. We were approached to deliver a brand positioning workshop and visual identity that would inspire people to positively rethink gifting.

The online greeting card market was well established and Cauuuse’s audience were open to the idea of charity gifting, but there was a lack of trust for charity models. We needed to create a brand that inspired trust and worth, was sophisticated enough to be retained by the recipient, and felt personal.

The Solution

A hand-drawn approach was adopted to reflect the artistic side of Cauuuse’s gifts as well as the human and personal nature of gifting. We created a series of fun, ownable icons and graphical gestures to help identify the brand, as well as communicate its mission and goals.

An IT brand that puts people first



Vizst are IT experts who prioritise the client experience. They believe in continuous innovation, and the building of trusted  relationships, with a human‑centric approach.

The Challenge

A lot of IT organistations are technically focussed, but Vizst wanted to buck the trend and focus more on the customer experience. Our challenge was to create a brand identity that conveys our company’s ethos of being truly client-focused, conveying the peace of mind that comes with knowing that your IT is in the hands of highly capable and approachable experts.

The Solution

We created a very different look for an IT brand, and deliberately avoided vibrant colours and technical imagery. A palette of muted Greens was employed to evoke a feeling of reassurance and security. The existing Vizst icon is integrated throughout, either alongside imagery or to add texture to white space, while rounded shapes inspired by the logo emphasize the brand’s soft human-centric nature. A new typeface was introduced to convey authority, honesty, and expertise, and imagery was focussed on the thriving people who are supported by Vizst’s expertise.
