Zap Creative Ltd. (Zap Creative) as the data controller is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

This statement sets out the basis by which we collect and process the personal data of anyone who provides data through our website or uses our services and your rights in respect of your personal data. Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

This website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

What if you do not provide personal data

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to help you further.

  • To invoice you for our services, this is a legitimate interest as we need to maintain our accounting and tax records
  • To protect our employees, clients and premises from crime, we operate CCTV on our premises which record images for security
  • If we discover any criminal activity or alleged criminal activity through our use of CCTV, we will process this data for the purposes of preventing or detecting unlawful acts. Our aim is to protect our employees, clients and business from criminal activities
  • The legal basis for our use of this information is our legitimate interest to protect our employees, clients and business
  • Please note where we are relying on consent to process your personal data, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent

Sharing of your Data

We may share your personal data:

  • Where we are under a legal obligation to do so, for example where we are required to share information under statute, to prevent fraud and other criminal offences or because of a Court Order for example HMRC, the police.

We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes. We only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

Data retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

We perform regular reviews of all of the data we hold and assess whether it still needs to be kept. If there is no valid reason we delete/destroy it.
